A collagen-stimulating treatment for smoother texture, refined pores and refreshed, radiant skin. Launching at our Massey clinic soon.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses tiny, controlled needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. These micro-injuries trigger your skin's natural healing response, which includes increased production of collagen and elastin.

The result, over time, is skin that looks firmer, smoother, more even in tone and texture, with reduced appearance of fine lines, pores and acne scarring. Microneedling is one of the most popular non-surgical skin treatments in aesthetic clinics across New Zealand and globally.

We are adding microneedling to our range of treatments at Skintensity soon, expanding our offer for West Auckland clients who want to address skin texture and quality alongside our existing injectable treatments.

What microneedling can help with

Microneedling is a versatile treatment that can address a wide range of skin concerns:

  • Enlarged pores

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Acne scarring (both rolling and boxcar scars)

  • Fine lines and early wrinkles

  • Dull or tired-looking skin

  • Uneven pigmentation and sun spots (particularly relevant in New Zealand's high-UV climate)

  • Stretch marks (on the body)

  • Overall skin radiance and glow
