Hydrating, bio-remodelling injectables for glowing, healthy skin. Featuring Belotero® Revive and Profhilo® H&L, delivered by a qualified registered nurse in Massey.

What are skin boosters?

Skin boosters are a category of injectable treatments designed to improve overall skin quality from within. Unlike anti-wrinkle injectables, which relax the muscles that cause expression lines, or dermal fillers, which add volume to specific areas, skin boosters work differently.

They deliver deep hydration and stimulate your skin's own collagen and elastin production, improving texture, firmness, elasticity and glow at the skin level. The result is skin that looks and feels healthier, fresher and more youthful, without changing the shape of your face.

Skin boosters are an increasingly popular option at aesthetic clinics across New Zealand, particularly for clients who want a natural refresh rather than a dramatic transformation. One of their biggest draws is how long the results last. Depending on the treatment, the effects last 6 to 9 months, making skin boosters a genuinely worthwhile investment in your skin rather than a quick fix. They are an ideal next step for clients who love the effect of anti-wrinkle injectables and want to address overall skin quality at the same time.

Signs you might benefit from skin boosters

Skin boosters are a wonderful option for a wide range of clients. Some of the signs that skin boosters could help you include:

  • Skin that feels dry, dull or dehydrated, no matter how much you moisturise

  • Loss of elasticity or early skin laxity, particularly around the cheeks, jawline or neck

  • Fine lines that appear even when your face is at rest (rather than only when you smile or frown)

  • Skin that has been affected by sun damage (a particular concern in New Zealand's high-UV climate)

  • Skin quality changes after pregnancy, menopause or significant weight change

  • A desire for a natural refresh before a wedding, event or new chapter in life

  • Wanting to maintain healthy, youthful skin as part of a long-term skincare plan

Belotero Revive

A hydrating skin booster for a radiant, refreshed glow. Delivered by a qualified registered nurse at our Massey clinic.

What is Belotero Revive?

Belotero Revive is an advanced injectable skin booster designed to revitalise tired, dehydrated skin from within. Formulated with a unique combination of hyaluronic acid and glycerol, it deeply hydrates the skin, smooths the appearance of fine lines and improves overall elasticity and firmness.

Rather than adding volume like a traditional dermal filler, Belotero Revive works at the level of your skin's own health. The result is skin that looks refreshed, well-rested and visibly glowing, without changing the shape or contours of your face.

Belotero Revive is particularly well-suited to New Zealand clients, where high UV exposure means early photo-damage is a common concern. It is one of the most widely used skin boosters in aesthetic clinics across Auckland and New Zealand.

  • BELOTERO® Revive is an injectable resorbable implant intended to revitalize facial skin through rehydration of dry and very dry skin, improvement of elasticity and firmness, and smoothening of superficial fine lines by reducing skin roughness. Belotero® Revive is indicated for revitalization of early-onset photodamaged facial skin, as characterized by dehydration, loss of elasticity and firmness, and presence of superficial fine lines.

You should tell your practitioner and avoid treatment with BELOTERO® Revive if you: have had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients; if you tend to develop keloids or heavy scars; have any bleeding disorders, poor wound healing, inflamed or infected skin, active auto-immune disease or general infection; are under the age of 18; are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Please inform your practitioner of any diseases you have or have had. These include in particular cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, epilepsy, liver or kidney problems, skin infections or severe allergies. If you take medication or vitamins, have had previous cosmetic procedures, or have been treated with other implants, please inform your practitioner.

Profhilo H&L

Bio-remodelling for firmer, healthier, more hydrated skin. Delivered by a qualified registered nurse at our Massey clinic.

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a revolutionary skin treatment that takes a completely different approach to traditional injectables. Rather than adding volume or filling lines, Profhilo uses one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid available to remodel the skin from within.

This bio-remodelling effect stimulates your skin's natural production of collagen and elastin, improving overall quality, firmness and elasticity over time. The result is smoother, healthier skin with a natural, luminous glow, without changing the shape of your face.

Profhilo is particularly popular for clients in their 40s, 50s and beyond who are noticing changes in skin laxity and want a natural, effective treatment that addresses the underlying skin quality rather than just its surface appearance.

  • Profhilo®, containing low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, is a Class III medical device for the treatment of the face and body for contours redefinition and laxity remodelling where skin laxity is a problem. Profhilo has risks and benefits.

Do not use with treatments such as laser resurfacing or medium-deep skin-peeling. Caution in people on blood thinning medicines. Do not inject into inflamed areas or intravenously or intramuscularly.

Possible side effects: pain and swelling at injection site.

FAQs

  • Belotero Revive is an ideal treatment for:

    • Clients in their late 20s to 40s noticing early signs of ageing

    • Clients with dehydrated, dull or sun-damaged skin (common in the New Zealand climate)

    • Clients wanting to address early fine lines without changing facial volume

    • Clients preparing for an event or occasion who want visible skin improvement

    • Clients starting their aesthetic journey and not yet ready for more intensive treatments

    • Clients wanting to maintain skin quality alongside anti-wrinkle treatment

Belotero Revive is suitable for most skin types. Your clinician will assess your skin during consultation to confirm it is the right treatment for you, or recommend an alternative if a different approach would suit you better.

    • The face, particularly the cheeks, around the mouth and under the eyes

    • The neck

    • The décolletage (upper chest area prone to sun damage)

    • The back of the hands

  • Many clients notice an immediate improvement in skin hydration and glow within the first one to two weeks following their first treatment. Peak results develop around four weeks after your final session in the course, as the skin continues to remodel and strengthen.

Results typically last between six and nine months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and individual response. Top-up treatments can be scheduled every six to nine months to maintain your glow over time.

  • Following your Belotero Revive treatment, we recommend:

    • Avoiding touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours

    • Staying upright (no lying down) for 2 to 4 hours after treatment

    • Avoiding strenuous exercise, saunas and hot yoga for at least 24 hours

    • Avoiding direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours, and wearing SPF 50+ thereafter (particularly important in New Zealand's high-UV environment)

    • Waiting two weeks before booking other skin procedures such as laser or chemical peels

Any initial redness or mild swelling usually resolves within 24 to 48 hours. Your clinician will give you detailed aftercare instructions tailored to your treatment on the day.

  • Traditional dermal fillers are designed to add volume and shape to specific areas of the face, such as the lips, cheeks or jawline. Belotero Revive is a skin booster, which means it works beneath the skin's surface to deeply hydrate and improve overall skin quality, without changing facial volume or shape.

The result is healthier, fresher skin, not a different face. If you are looking for volume changes to specific features, you need a dermal filler rather than a skin booster.

  • Session One: The Foundation

Your first Profhilo treatment is delivered via a series of strategic injection points across your treatment area. Your clinician uses a technique specifically developed for Profhilo to deliver the product to exactly the right depth. This first treatment begins the bio-remodelling process, kickstarting your skin's natural collagen and elastin production.

    4 weeks between sessions

The four-week gap is essential. It allows your skin to respond to the first treatment and begin the remodelling process before the second is delivered. Skipping or shortening this gap significantly reduces how well the treatment works.

    Session Two: Locking It In

Your second treatment, delivered four weeks after the first, builds on the foundation and locks in the long-lasting improvement. After this session, your skin continues to remodel for several more weeks, with peak results visible around four weeks after the second treatment.

    CLOSING PARAGRAPHS

Profhilo is designed to be delivered as this specific two-treatment protocol, spaced approximately four weeks apart. This is not optional, it is how Profhilo is clinically designed to work, and the two-session course is priced together for this reason.

Most clients see peak results around four weeks after their second treatment, with results typically lasting six to twelve months depending on your skin and lifestyle.

  • Profhilo is an ideal treatment for:

    • Clients in their 40s, 50s and older noticing skin laxity

    • Clients concerned about neck or jawline quality

    • Clients wanting a significant, long-lasting improvement in skin texture

    • Clients who want natural results and are not interested in dermal fillers

    • Clients already using anti-wrinkle injections who want to address overall skin quality

    • Clients recovering skin quality after weight change, pregnancy or menopause

Profhilo is not suitable for everyone. If you have active skin infections, bleeding disorders, or certain auto-immune conditions, it may not be right for you. Your clinician will discuss your medical history during your consultation to confirm whether Profhilo is suitable.
